I have been an amatsu practitioner since 2000. I am currently based in the Torca Clinic, Dalkey located about a mile from Dalkey village and DART station. Amatsu is a beneficial treatment for a variety of complaints, including whiplash, sciatica, neck stifness, lumbar pain, injured or weak ankles, bunions and irritable bowel conditions.

It is a gentle, non-invasive therapy which unravels tensions and strengthens weak or injured parts of the body. Working with the body's own instinct for self healing, Amatsu repatterns the structure of bones, ligaments and major organs so that an over all balance and harmony is achieved.

Where appropiate, I bring aspects of Reiki healing into my Amatsu sessions. I have qualified in Reiki 1 and 2.

I can be reached at the above telephone number.

I have been involved with Amatsu since 2003 and I been running a successful & thriving private practice since. I now run a clinic at 99 Upper Geroge's Street in Dun Laoghaire, which is very central and easily accessable by dart and bus. For those who may have difficulty travelling, I also operate a mobile treatment service for clients in the South Dublin & Wicklow area.

I am a member of the Amatsu Association of Ireland and I have sat on the committee of the Association for many years.

I have studied martial arts and have practised Kung Fu and Tai Chi for 15 years. I am also a Kung Fu instructor. I have seen and treated many different types of injuries and physical problems from back pain, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, digestive problems, broken bones and headaches. I also treat pregnant women and newborn babies, infants, young children and the elderly. Amatsu is a gentle realignment of the body and so is suitable for a wide range of people and difficulties.

Testimonial from C. Prestage: After several years of trouble with my hip and exhausting the conventional route, it was decided that a hip replacement was the only solution. I had never heard of Amatsu before but decided to give it a try on a recommendation, and found that even after one session things started to improve dramatically. After my second session I was so impressed with the results, I decided to cancel my hip replacement. It is fantastic to be pain free and enjoy life again. Even the simple things like tying my shoe laces used to cause me agony and that is now a thing of the past. Not only has there been a dramatic improvement in my hip but my health in general has improved. I highly recommend Andy Doyle. I'd like to thank him for his dedication, empathy and the informative manner in which he has dealt with me.

I work primarily as an Amatsu Therapist, I have worked in the local area since 1992 and in the Sandycove Clinic since 1999.

In my job as a health practitioner, I also see myself as an educator of the people who attend my clinic. Training and teaching have always been part of my working life. I am a senior tutor of Amatsu and was teaching for 7 years retiring at the end of 2004. I was one of the founding members of the Amatsu Association in Ireland, and was education director of the UK Amatsu Association for many years. I have served as chair of FICTA (Federation Irish Complementary Therapy Associations) also chair and mananging director of FICTASkillnet a government funded education and training initiative.

As a therapy Amatsu has been and continues to be actively involved in, and welcome, Regulation of Complementary medicine. All of our members are required to do ongoing training (CPD – continuing professional development) during their professional lives, both training in Amatsu and other related education every year.

I have always been passionate about the role of complementary medicine as part of an integrated health system and during my time as Chair of FICTA and FICTASkillnet played a very public role as a representative for this growing sector. I have been interviewed on radio on the Gerry Ryan show (RTE2), Marion Finucane (RTE1), East Coast radio, also in print with Irish Examiner and Irish Times a number of times and have taken part in a TV3 series that aired in the afternoons.

I am a holistic practitioner and believe in working with the whole person. In the area of nutrition, I am certified as a Metabolic Typing Advisor, I have trained also in meditation with Deepak Chopra, done Journey Work with Brandon Bays, and am a qualified NLP practitioner, trained with Richard Bandler (creator of NLP), Paul McKenna and Michael Breen.

I truly believe it is important to keep educating ourselves and developing personally as well as professionally, we are body, mind and spirit. To be truly well is to recognise and care for all of the parts that make us a complete person.

In my previous career I started out as a programmer and systems analyst in the computer industry and was head-hunted to work for an Investment Bank where I worked mostly as a business analyst. Solving problems, refining solutions and seeing patterns it seems has always been my thing.

Experiencing Amatsu was the key for me to sorting the lower back and neck problem I had for years. It re-aligned my hips and spine, freed my neck, re-toned weak muscles; most of all gave me relief from pain and stress & and a new level of physical well-being; an overall result that none of the other many therapies that I tried truly achieved (including yoga!). I am happy to report my back is so good that I can finally do sit-ups!!!.
