AMATSU TRAINING SCHOOLS IN IRELAND:

Amatsu has been taught in Ireland since 1991, teachers that have taught are: Dennis Bartram, William Doolan, Christine Duffy, Tomas Ronan, Geraldine McCarthy, Jenny McGann and Derek Plunkett. Currently there is one AAI recognised training school in Ireland.

The Amatsu Training School of Ireland, founded in February 2004 by Jenny McGann and Derek Plunkett. The current venue for Amatsu training is at The Healthy Way, Ralph Square, Leixlip.

Dennis Bartram teaching

Amatsu training consists of:

Year 1 - ANMA and Year 2 - SEITAI

Years 1& 2 are part-time, examinable courses run over 20 days in each year. As well as the 20 days there are continuous home studies and case studies to complete. At the end of Year 2 you will qualify as an Amatsu Practitioner. Further details on Amatsu training can be found here.

Year 3 - SHINDEN JUTSU and Year 4 - KENKUJUTSU

Years 3&4 are Post-graduate courses. These are non-examinable course run over 15 days in each year. To qualify onto the courses one must have completed Years 1&2.

Students are registered by the School, with the Amatsu Association Ireland, which is the controlling Body for all registered Amatsu Therapists and is registered with Government controlling bodies in Ireland.

All practitioners within Amatsu Therapy clinics will have received intensive training in Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Aetiology, Eastern Philosophy, Body Movement, Differential diagnosis and patient management.

Once qualified, all Amatsu Therapy practitioners are required to undertake a minimum of four days professional update training per year, in order to maintain their membership with the governing body. Registered practitioners display their annual association membership certificate within their clinics.
